Mission week celebrates the gathering of our community to honor, reflect on and learn more about our Mission and Identity through our Mercy heritage and Ignatian traditions.

    Sunday, Sept. 24 —Ìý9 p.m. Student Mass

    9 p.m. Sunday Student Mass at St. Ignatius Chapel in the Commerce and Finance Building on the McNichols Campus. Mercy reflection and free snacks after Mass. Guest reflection provided by Sr. Renee Kettering, RSM, who is a Sister of Mercy and director of Enterprise Applications in º£½Ç´óÉñ's IT Department.

    Tuesday, Sept 26 —ÌýTake Back the Night March

    Take Back the Night

    6 p.m. Meet in The Amp 

    Join a march across campus to support safe communities, oppose gender-based violence and stand in solidarity with women and others affected by sexual violence and other forms of discrimination. All are welcome! There will be pizza. Meet in the Amp.

    This event is hosted by the Office of Title IX, Women's and Gender Studies and University Ministry.

    Wednesday, Sept. 27 — Founders Week Mass & Pizza / Wednesday Welcome Cookies / Midweek Mindfulness

    Fr. Charles Oduke, vice president for Mission Integration, will preside at this 12 p.m. Mass, which is sponsored by the Office of Mission Integration. Pizza follows the Mass in the Commerce and Finance Building, Room 233. All are welcome!

    12:30-2 p.m. Bubble Tea and Treats: Hear student stories from Ireland and the National Jesuit Leadership Conference at this Founders Week social event, cohosted by Student Life and University Ministry at the Student Union Fountain Terrace. Free food and drinks will be provided.

    Come and serve at the Pope Francis Center in downtown Detroit with other students, faculty and staff. Registration is required and space is limited.

    Saturday, Sept. 30 —Ìý4 p.m. Homecoming weekend Mass

    Join the University community during Homecoming weekend to celebrate Mass at 4 p.m. in St. Ignatius Chapel in the Commerce and Finance Building. There will also be a regular 9 p.m. Sunday Student Mass on Oct. 1.
